Green Fuels has a Royal Warrant of Appointment to HRH the Prince of Wales. Green Fuels Research is an innovation company in renewable fuels and bioenergy, carrying out research on several projects in collaboration with universities and partners worldwide.The companies are based at the Gloucestershire Science & Technology Park in Berkeley, Gloucestershire, and with offices in central London.

Internship programme

Green Fuels Interns work together and with our employees and leaders to solve some of the planet’s biggest challenges, helping us develop smarter ways to decarbonize fuels. An internship at Green Fuels is an opportunity to learn while doing. Collaborating on exciting projects, not only with talented peers, but with top leaders in your field – many of whom began as interns themselves.

We are looking for motivated Graduate interns aligned with our mission.  Typically, an Internship lasts for a period of 6 months, focused on a specific need, but with an aim to provide experience across our entrepreneurial business.  We work closely with ESPA (the European Student Placement Agency) to find Erasmus+ placements.  Erasmus+ supports traineeships (work placements, internships, etc) abroad for students currently enrolled in higher education institutions in Programme countries at Bachelor and Master level as well as for doctoral candidates. These opportunities are also open to recent graduates.

Mechanical Fitter

Details

Green Fuels is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to work at its site in Berkeley, Gloucestershire on assembly of biofuel plants for export worldwide. Candidates should have experience in mechanical assembly of equipment, preferably in the field of fluid handling, and will ideally have solid experience in MIG welding. Some electrical knowledge would be helpful, as would experience with fitting pumps, sensors, valves, etc. Forklift experience would be beneficial, but not essential. Swagelok experience would also be beneficial but not essential.  Candidates must be enthusiastic and proactive and have reliable attention to detail.

Work will primarily be based in Berkeley, although there may also be the opportunity for overseas work commissioning equipment.
